Minor motor vehicle violations like speeding and careless driving made up the biggest percentage of these infractions although there were many more serious ones like driving without insurance, possession of CDS in a motor vehicle, reckless driving and driving while suspended. There were 441 disorderly persons offenses falling with the original jurisdiction of the municipal court. The volume of serious crime, indictable offenses of the first, second, third or fourth degree, was relatively low at 137 in total filings for the year ending June 2014.
