DWI Lawyers for Charges Issued at the Ben Franklin, Walt Whitman, Betsy Ross or Delair Bridge
A significant block of Camden County DWI charges result from traffic stops in proximity to the Ben Franklin, Walt Whitman, Betsy Ross or Delair Bridge. These charges are typically issued by members of the Delaware River Port Authority Police or local officers employed by the Gloucester City Police Department, the Camden Police Department or the Pennsauken Police Department.
If you were charged with driving while intoxicated or operating under the influence (e.g. marijuana, heroin, prescription drugs, etc.) in this context, it is pivotal that you seek the advice of a lawyer who is knowledgeable in DWI defense. Failure to escape a conviction will result in a loss of your license and possibly even your liberty whether this is your first offense, second offense or third offense. Hiring an attorney that is skilled in defending DWI charges is probably your best weapon for ensuring that this does not occur.

Charged With DWI at a Camden County Bridge
Every DWI offense issued in New Jersey arises out of N.J.S.A. 39:4-50, including those issued in the area of state, federal and local bridges. An individual violates this law if they operator a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration of .08% or more, or while impaired by a mood altering drug such as marijuana, heroin, Xanax, Oxycodone, cocaine or another substance. The Delaware River Police, as well as local law enforcement, use one of two methods to prove a violation: (1) a scientific test such as a blood, urine or breath test to establish a BAC of .08% or higher or that drugs were in the bloodstream of the motorist; or (2) field sobriety tests (e.g. walk and turn, one leg stand, ABCs, horizontal gaze nystagmus) or drug recognition tests. If the prosecutor in Gloucester City, Camden, Pennsauken or another municipal court is able to establish intoxication or impairment, the accused is subject to the penalties set forth in the table below.
