Long Branch Municipal Court
The Municipal Court has jurisdiction to decide a traffic summons or offense, non-indictable misdemeanor criminal charges, commonly referred to as disorderly persons offenses, or an ordinance violation. The traffic summons heard in Long Branch include DWI, DUI, Refusal, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Driving without Insurance, or Driving While Suspended or Revoked. Disorderly persons offenses are less serious criminal charges under the New Jersey Criminal Code and although they are heard in Municipal Court, they still carry up to six (6) months in jail, fines, assessments, and possible drivers license suspension. From the Garden State Parkway: Take Exit 105 and Proceed to State Highway 36 East. State Highway 36 is also known as Joline Avenue. Proceed on State Highway 36 (Joline Avenue) to its intersection with Broadway and bear right. The Court is located on your left at 279 Broadway.
From State Highway 35: Proceed on State Highway 35 to Monmouth Mall and look for signs for State Highway 36. Proceed east on State Highway 36 and follow the directions set forth above.
